96 dB. Not because it is low — it is an ordinary figure for a corded mower — but because it is there.
Every powered garden machine sold in the European Union carries a guaranteed sound power level marked in an oval on its housing, required by the outdoor noise directive. Across the mower families on this site, this is the first listing to reproduce it. Sixteen machines before it, none.
It is a guarantee rather than a measurement: the maker measures, adds an allowance for its method and its production spread, rounds up and undertakes not to exceed the result. That is why these numbers are almost always even integers.
The lowest cutting position anywhere on this shelf. For an ordinary lawn that is too short — removing that much leaf opens the sward to moss and annual weed — and for a fine, fed, frequently cut lawn it is exactly the setting the rest of the shelf cannot reach.
The other side of it: the range stops at 60 mm, so in a drought this machine cannot be raised as far as most of its neighbours.
No catcher volume at all, which on a collecting mower is an odd thing to leave out. And no cable length, like the other eight.

It is a guaranteed sound power level, not a loudness at your ear — the machine radiates that much acoustic power in total, and what you hear depends on distance. As a comparison figure it is the reliable one, and 96 sits where a corded mower normally sits.
It does not, for most lawns — 30 to 50 mm is the sensible domestic range. It matters for anyone keeping a fine sward short, and it is the only machine here that offers it.
Because the outdoor noise directive requires it on the machine and in its documentation. Every mower on this site carries one on the housing; this is one of the few whose listing reproduces it.
