An electric scarifier with a 2000 W motor on a 230 V / 50 Hz supply and a 40 cm working width, stated as suitable for lawns up to 1000 m² and awarded a mark by a German consumer test body. Scarifying and aerating are combined through easily interchangeable rollers: a scarifying roller with 20 sharp blades and an aerating roller with 24 tines. The working depth is set centrally in five steps from −12 mm to +6 mm. The handle is ergonomic, rubberised, height-adjustable and folds. The bag holds 55 litres. Front wheels are 180 mm and rear wheels 150 mm, and a cable strain relief is fitted.

That is how a scarifier is actually set, and it is the specification this shelf most often omits. Above zero the machine combs the surface, which is useful on a lawn matted with clippings and useless on one with thatch.
