Itemised, which is the reason to trust it
Two hose connectors, one coupler.
That is stated in the delivery line, and half the products on this shelf do not
state their contents at all — one publishes no features whatsoever, and a
ten-piece set never says what the ten pieces are.
A connection needs a specific set of halves. A bag of ten identical fittings
joins nothing. Three named parts that make exactly one joint is a smaller
product and a complete one.
Both hose bores, in one part
13 mm (1/2 inch) and 15 mm (5/8 inch).
Those are the two sizes most garden hose is sold in, and a connector that fits
both means the purchase does not depend on knowing which you have — which
almost nobody does.
The mechanism is the union nut and a stepped tail: the same barb takes either
bore, and the nut clamps down to suit.
The price per piece, stated plainly

The cheapest fittings on this shelf are about 0.75 €.
That is a factor of more than four, and this page is not going to pretend it
away. What it buys is: contents you can rely on, a system these fittings are
the reference implementation of, and moulded grips.
What it does not buy is a named material — which the two brass products here do
give.
The grips, which are not cosmetic
Moulded soft-plastic recesses, described as meaning the grip holds even with
wet hands.
Every single time you use a hose connector, your hands are wet. Often the hose
is still full and heavy, and the fitting has been in the sun and is slightly
swollen.
A smooth barrel under those conditions is genuinely difficult, and the usual
solution is a pair of pliers, which cracks it.
It is the kind of detail that only shows up in use, and it is the fair answer
to why a three-piece set costs what four sets of ten cost.
What it does, and only that
It joins two hoses.
It is not a tap adapter — three products on this shelf are those, and a garden
needs one. It is not a gun fitting. It is one joint, complete, in a system that
everything else in that system clicks into.
For the specific job of making two short hoses into one long one, this is the
complete answer and there is nothing to work out.
And the honest note about joining hoses
Two 15 metre hoses joined are not the same as one 30 metre hose.
Every coupling is a restriction — the bore through a connector is smaller than
the bore of the hose — and every joint is somewhere that can weep.
It is still usually the right call, because the alternative is buying a longer
hose and having a spare short one you never use. But the flow at the far end is
slightly lower, and if a sprinkler is marginal at 30 metres, the joint is part
of why.
