What the one line is about, and why it is the right thing to say
A wall box that only works fully extended is useless.
Watering a bed six metres from the tap with a thirty-metre hose means either
thirty metres of hose on the lawn or a box that holds the length you pulled
out. The lock is what makes it the second.
The mechanism is a ratchet: pull, it catches; tug once more, it releases and
rewinds. Getting it to hold reliably at any point — rather than only at set
increments — is the engineering that separates a good box from a frustrating
one.
So a listing with one sentence has, at least, spent it on the mechanism that
matters most.
What this hose box never states
No brake.
Two of the three wall boxes on this shelf name a centrifugal brake. That is the
component that governs rewind speed, and without it thirty metres of spring-
loaded hose returns as fast as the spring can pull it, with a metal nozzle on
the end.
Whether this box has one is not published. The absence in a listing is not the
absence in the product, and this page says only that it is unstated.
No hose specification. No layer count, no burst pressure, no material. The
hose is the larger half of what you are buying and nothing is published about
it.
No dimensions, no weight, no mounting hardware detail beyond that a fitting

30 metres from one point
Thirty metres is the most any wall box here supplies, and it is worth what 30
metres from a fixed point means.
It is a radius, not a route. A box by the kitchen tap reaches 30 metres in
a straight line, and considerably less around the corner of the house, because
the hose has to bend around whatever is in the way and every bend spends
length.
Carts do not have this problem — you wheel them. Boxes are fixed, and the
question to answer before drilling is not “how long is my garden” but “how far
is the furthest thing from this wall”.
The fitting aid
Small and genuinely useful.
A wall box goes into masonry, at head height, and it stays where it is drilled.
A bracket half a degree out of level is visible forever and cannot be
corrected without new holes.
A supplied template is the difference between measuring twice and drilling
twice.
