The internal figure is the one that answers the question. A garage’s frame, its uprights and its roof pitch all take space, and a robot has to fit with its dock and with room to drive in straight rather than squeezing.

71 × 66 × 35 cm is something a buyer can measure against. “Suitable for nearly all common models” is not.

The removable roof

Three garages on this shelf offer some way to reach the robot’s buttons without pulling the machine out. This one simply takes the roof off.

That is the most complete access of the three and the least convenient: a lift rather than a hinge. On a machine that is configured through an app it hardly matters; on one with a keypad it does.

Wood, and what it costs

It looks like part of a garden rather than like a car port, which is a real consideration for something sitting permanently on a lawn. The individualisable sign says who this is for.

What it costs is maintenance. Glazed softwood standing on damp ground needs re-treating every few years, and the underside — the part touching the ground — is the part that goes first. Every metal garage on this shelf is maintenance-free.

The 35 cm

Worth repeating because it is the constraint.

Most robots are low, flat machines and 35 cm is generous. A tall machine, or a docking station with an upright signal post, may not go under — and this is the one listing on the shelf where you can find that out before ordering.
