Two catchers on this shelf publish an empty weight and this is the heavier of
them — three times the nylon bag beside it, on twice the volume.
Most of that mass is the metal frame, and it buys two things: the bag holds its
shape when full, and the mouth stays open rather than collapsing.
The hooks
Named as metal, and they are the part that decides how long the bag lasts.
Every removal of a full box loads the mounting points. Fifty litres of damp
cuttings is a real weight, and moulded plastic clips under that load are what
fail — after which the bag is scrap despite the fabric being perfectly sound.
Metal hooks on a metal frame is the unglamorous, correct answer.
One machine
Named, and only one, from the manufacturer of both.
That is the safest possible fit statement and the narrowest. With no frame
dimensions published, there is nothing for an owner of a different cylinder
mower to check.
Where this shelf comes from
Four catchers here, and all four belong to hand or cylinder mowers.
That is not a coincidence. On a rotary mower the original box goes through a
manufacturer’s spare-part channel and rarely reaches a general catalogue with a
published code; what fills that gap instead is adaptable fabric bags from
resellers, and almost none of them publish an EAN.
