The baseline price on three water shelves

Amazon Basics appears on three water shelves here, and its function in each comparison is the same: it sets the floor.

That is a genuine service to a reader. A shelf where the cheapest entry is an unknown seller with no stated figures is a shelf that cannot be anchored. A baseline article with a stated capacity, a stated hose length and a recognisable returns position gives every other row something to be more expensive than, for a reason.

The sprinkler is the clearest case — a three-arm rotating head with a stated coverage, on a shelf where the alternatives run from another baseline article to a brass impulse head on a tripod.
