Replacement parts, cross-referenced

GREENSTAR supplies replacement parts to the garden machinery trade, and its two entries here are both on shelves where the whole question is fit.

The air filter listing prints the original references it replaces, by engine family, as a list of part numbers. That is the correct way to sell a filter: the element is bought by the engine it goes in, and the engine’s own number is what the buyer has. This site reproduces those references exactly as printed, because a transcribed part number is an order that goes wrong.

The wheel is sold as a universal article with reducing bushes, stated by outside diameter. On the mower wheel shelf that covers the case the machine makers do not — an old mower whose maker no longer lists the part.

Neither entry is a machine, and neither carries any of the figures that dominate this site. What they carry instead is a cross-reference, which on a spares shelf is the specification.
