FUXTEC sells direct, and it shows in how the products are described. On shelves where the imported competition offers a photograph and an adjective, its listings give a working width in millimetres, a displacement, a stroke count and an air speed.
Eight shelves here: petrol and cordless mowers, a mains mower, a scarifier, a blower, a sweeper, a shredder and a roller. Engines are the spine of it — several of the entries are four-stroke machines at price points where the rest of the shelf has moved to batteries.
The consequence for a comparison is a good one. A page can print what the maker states without the paragraph explaining what it left out, which on this niche is unusual enough to be worth saying.
What the range does not have is spares. There is no FUXTEC blade or catcher shelf here, and on machines from a direct seller that is a real consideration in three seasons’ time.
